Currently, OF account updates are happening roughly every 10 seconds on average.

If my estimates are correct (which they probably aren't, math isn't my strongest subject and I'm basically dead reckoning at this point), it will take 120 days for the OF importer to catch up.

We ASSUME there is a backlog but there might not even be one.

As of right now the importer has stopped well..importing.

So it might have broke again. Who knows. I have over 200 favorites and only maybe 4 of them I barely care about got updates..

The importer hasn't stopped.

The search just bugs out every so often and doesn't show the latest imports for a bit. If you disable JS and load the recent updates page, you still see new imports happening.

As for the estimate: What makes you assume that each update is for a unique account and would thus result in one entry in the backlog? Before the pause I've seen the same account being updated every few days if not several times per day. Depending on how many submitters enabled auto-import and how many submitters were subscribed to the same OF accounts.

Clearly the backlog size is measured in submitted session keys, not in updates. The entire basis for your calculation is built on quicksand at best.

Disclaimer: I have no insider knowledge. Just a rough idea how such a system would be built.

just before the recent updated page stopped working. It was only showing accounts that I had updated using the importer.

My guess is these Patels messed up trying to add a feature on the live site.

If your initial assumptions were correct, it would take 4 days to clear the backlog.
