- people willing to volunteer =/= competent people who wont fck things up because they have their own interests

- donations will create a more defined expectation and with the flow of money and expectations could come an expectation for money when things expand and suddenly you have a "streaming is cable 2.0" situation but these guys have to jump through legal loopholes to keep the boat afloat and monetized

we cant actually do a whole lot and them letting us in is simply making themselves more vulnerable. we can ask that they take that risk but we shouldnt pretend said risk isnt there
