So far, the only people who were banned were either begging for artists to be updated, asking the Do Not Ask questions or quite literally being hostile to everyone else.

I had the same situation - made sure I had a username, clicked join and was instantly banned. Now I can't lurk, can't read it at all…

Now I'm new to Telegram - literally only installing it on my phone for kemono, and if I somehow fucked up my username because it's complicated then there should be some leeway.

They are right. I read the rules, and then pressed "Join". At the same exact moment I finished pressing the button, a message telling me "You can't join the chat because you were expelled by an admin". I didn't say anything because I didn't even have the opportunity to look into.

I just tried (after making sure I had a username) and also got banned after a couple of minutes
Now I checked the telegram notifications on my phone and saw that I was supposed to solve a captcha
Didn't even see the message, it was probably sent in the welcome channel
Maybe give a little more time to make sure that the user sees it, or write it in the message with the group invitation?

2) Read the important channels before you click join, not after
3) If you did 2 properly, you might not even need to read further because that won't be relevant
4) Pay attention to the captcha upon joining and solve it
5) Read the rule channels again before you write anything
6) Don't fuck up again

Unrelated to Kemono, I've made multiple Telegram accounts that each got banned entirely and inexplicably by Telegram after a day, again literally without posting anything in any channels, just joining them. I'm out of phone numbers to use. It's such a shitty service and I don't know why people use it in the first place, not to mention owned by Russia.
