Music star, actor, novella writer, or podcaster are valid jobs too. But no sane person is going to dedicate themselves fully to a music career if they have a child to feed and can barely perform smoke on the water.
At the very least they'll dedicate some time a week to it while also having a regular day job with decent and consistent income.
If they worked drawing comics for IDW or as concept artist for naughty dog that would be a job. This is just a monetized hobby, and "pls give me money or I'll stave" is just begging.
