Many patreons have shifted to lately — using third-party platforms like MEGA, Dropbox, itch.io, Google Drive, etc., or through DM’s with password protection or external download links. It basically renders leaked Patreon post content.

Surely they should’ve been a features where the uploaded can drop links with passwords or upload the files in pdf modes manually.

Such a feature would be abused heavily (viruses, CP, etc.).

Nothing is stopping anyone from just making their own discord server and disguising it as something else to upload malicious files right now either.
Just lucky bad actors haven't thought about it yet.
