Images are loading in full resolution just fine for me (on PC). Are you certain the images you're looking at actually have a higher resolution? It might be helpful to provide a link to a specific example.

its been a problem for me for months
for some reason it seems like android cant connect to the image sites (n1-n4)

Its always been intermittent for me. Sometimes this happens; other times, after 5+ secs, the full image appears. On Android that is, both tablets & mobile.
