Either way, I wanted to thank the devs. No matter how much we are addicted to whatever content we consume, we are not paying shit, they are not forced to give their time and effort for our entertainment, yet they so. Even if they decide to shut the website tomorrow, it would be a sad day, but I will always think of kemono, the devs and the importers as amazing.

yeah, didn't mean to come off that way. I get we are benefiting for free from their work and time so I don't mean to complain. Just don't know what it takes to run this place so just wondering.

I doubt they'd voluntarily switch domains unless they had to, it's bad for SEO and will have them lose their rank in search results for a while, probably leading to some lost traffic and ad revenue. Most likely R01 (the registrar) got a complaint from the registry or the Russian Internet censor that made it clear that further violations could result in the loss of the domain, so having the domain redirect to another domain would have been the least bad option in that case. And even if the issue was limited to the registrar, R01 is the only known .su registrar that allows porn so there's literally nowhere else to migrate a porn .su domain to, no other .su registrar is even close to being as resilient as R01 from what I know.

Also, registering a new domain and updating the DNS records is probably not that time consuming compared to fixing code in an importer that keeps breaking.
