Not blaming Kemono for this, I love this site, but I think admins should strongly consider removing the option to import from SubscribeStar so others will not encounter this in the future. I think we should encourage more people to share their content on Kemono and this will just harm that project.

As far as I know importing from SubscribeStar does not work in the first place.

That wouldn't change anything at this point. Fingerprinting and tracking are extremely common practices and people are way too careless with their data and devices.

There are many reasons for this, it may or may not related to Kemono at all

Ask yourself:
1. Is your card a debit or credit? If it's a credit card, it should work, otheriwse see no. 2
2. Is your debit card a prepaid debit card or a regular debit card? If your card is a prepaid debit card, it's expected that it sometimes doesn't work EVERYWHERE, otherwise your bank might have a poor reputation

This is literally why the importer doesn't work. It broke around the time they started banning people, and nobody's bothered fixing it since, because what's the point if people are just going to get banned?

Same reason the Fanbox importer had auto-import disabled for a while when they threatened to do the same thing.
