So apparently the jerks running Discord has decided to try and require all users to do the face-identification bullshit in order to access explicit servers and channels or something like that.

Already a lot of places seem to be talking about protesting by unsubscribing from their Nitro. Or even going to different Chat-programs with their content.
The discord importer seems to be barely holding together as it is. And so I doubt the admin or mods will bother to try and make new importers for any new sites that become the norm. Once again making sharing and getting content from artists more difficult again.

In either case, I guess now is as good time as any to mass import the paywalled discord channels if you got access to them.

Hard agree, especially the more sensitive ones. Discord won't touch its Roblox partners for obvious reasons. Those parties they hold in private are most lucrative and very healthy, very cool.

A mass Discord import wave might terminate the Patreon importer for good though unless the devs were at least sane enough to not make them run in parallel. And if Patreon is turned off, there won't be anyone to turn it back on.

Oh yeah, if you're a content creator reading this and laughing, make sure you think first. This is definitely not a good thing for you either.
