I wanna answer why THIS IS NECESSARY since the OP didn't explain it correctly.

For English speaking countries or mindset, having to search a single character (e.g. "a", "b", "c", etc.) is stupid, but it's not for CJK speaking countries or mindset.

For example, when you're looking for "Lumine", a character from Genshin Impact, you would just typed "Lumine" on the search function, but when you're trying to find "Lumine" by its CJK localised name which is "蛍 (hotaru)", it's impossible to do that in this current state.

If you're asking to yourself, "Why do I need to have search '蛍' when I can just search 'Lumine'?" it's because most artists from CJK speaking countries often use CJK localised name for any characters they're working on.

I'll try and go into more detail. As I said b4, I dont need this. I use a script to convert patreon links to kemono urls. I rarely, if ever, use search, BUT it could be a good QoL improvement.

Public_id would have to be added to the creators api table and if that's not worth doing I totally understand.

I only really use kemono for patreon creators, and what the public_id appears to be for patreon is part of the patreon url for creators. For example:
"patreon.com/c/{public_id}"
Its not the user id though and its actually often the name that a creator goes by on patreon, and what people would naturally search for if using search. "public_id" is often the same as the "name" which is what's used in search currently, but not always. I don't know if public_id is relevant for non-patreon creators at all. It might even be null for most services. I didn't check.

On mobile, opening a patreon/fanbox post while logged in forces the new flagging menu to pop up for a split second, then causes an error when trying to close the menu since the function “g.close” is not a function. I have also seen h.close be the function that causes the error before but mostly it is g.close.

You can see the posts just fine if you are not logged in but renders the site unusable while logged in. There is also a similar issue for discord channels with more than 150 posts that causes an error whether you are logged in or not, but that has been there for months. Hopefully these issues can be fixed soon so that the mobile experience is on par with the desktop experience.

Also somewhat unrelated, there was a time (either last year or the year before I think) when some idiots began flooding the imageboard with photos of dead people (and other shit) and it got to the point of pushing everything off the 10 visible pages. Yet in the end it all got removed and everything that was on the 10 pages reappeared, so I thought pushing a thread off the catalog was impossible as threads could be "recovered" as it seemed. Or at least until I concluded the catalog actually included more than what appeared on the first 10 pages.

Which begs the question, WHY does it cut off at page 10? I doubt all 100 threads are actually featured on the first 10 pages (or am I wrong?).

Even still, where are all the other "issues" threads? Surely the second last one and everything before that couldn't have all been pushed off so easily.

Hey, heads up Kemono devs. There are artists and other page owners going in and poisoning posts.
How they're doing it:
1. Make a new post for the highest tier containing a poisoned link or worthless content
2. Import the post to Kemono
3. Lower the tier of the post
4. Edit the contents to be the actual real content

Anyone that imports these posts will not overwrite the dud post since it's of the highest tier.

I believe the only way to combat this would be to not allow self-imports. That is, to say, if an import would attempt to import posts from a page that the importer owns (in essence, attempting to import their own page), *skip it.* This would prevent post poisoning.

There's a really strange bug when browsing through tags. For instance, if i go to the 5th or 6th page the page bar disappears and only images are shown. The only way i can get around this is change the value for the amount of posts shown for a single page. Is anyone else able to replicate this bug?
